So, I think I have finally figured out how to get my JCM 800 sounding right. I dont know if its normal to have the third, but I have three "volume" pots. A master volume, a preamp volume, and a "level" pot on the back of the head. I drive the power amp tubes with the master at about 4 o'clock. I keep the preamp relatively low at about 9 oclock. Then the level on the back is at about noon. Mid and Bass stay all the way up, Treble at about 2 oclock, and presence at about 10 oclock. I am getting good results with these settings, and then boosting it with my Jackhammer pedal, keeping my EQ, Delay, Reverb, and Phaser after the dirt. I keep the reverb on with a low mix, and an intermediate to low delay, on the hall reverb setting. The delay, only on for songs like, "Still Got the Blues", "Parisienne Walkways", and "The Messiah Will Come Again". I keep the EQ on at all times to completely cut 6.4k, and lower 200 by about 4 decibels (These are the bad feedback frequencies). I like using the phaser on clean stuff like "Lenny", but havent really found a use for it on any Gary Moore stuff. I use the BD-2 Blues Driver for a level boost, and the Tube Screamer for a mid/dirt boost.

I would like to just have one. I had but just a glimmer of hope that this would read:
"...I've decided to give it to zack for Christmas."

do you get cookies with it obvious they're oblivious to the important question. true tone meisters know that the type and amount of cookies can radically affect the tone

it depends on what KIND of brownies. if you mean the 7-8 yr old girl scouts, then no. if you mean the duncan hines/betty crocker jawns, then possibly - if you have added the most important ingredient.
