What kind of music have you guys been listening to for the past while?
For me, it's ska. Mostly Reel Big Fish. My friend listens to a lot of ska and punk, and I've learned to like it.

Been getting into Neil Young's stuff. Good stuff, interesting how his career has developed over the years. Also been listening to the Buffalo Killers again, great, great, criminally underrated band. Other bands worth a mention are The Seeds, a 60's psych-surf band, cool stuff. Also been digging the hell out of Ghetto Organ by Jackie Mittoo and Beat by Lou Johnson.

i dont get "hooked" like i used to. at first i thought it was the music not being as good. but anymore i dont think so. i go through periods where i listen to alot of this one or alot of that one, but i haven't had any new music since jason newstead released soldierhead. here lately i've been listening to alot of old judas priest, because i have been trying to remember some of the songs i used to play. at one time i could play 98% of their entire catalog from from rocka-rolla to pain killer. that's 12 records! now i only remember a tiny fraction of that stuff. maybe 15-20 songs at most

today i've been on a ritchie blackmore kick. deep purple and rainbow were great bands. you had ritchie blackmore, roger glover, david coverdale, ian gillen, steve morse, joe satriani (very briefly) and tommy bolin. that's just on deep purple. switch over to rainbow, then you can add dio, and cozy powell. the list reads like a who's-who of 70's hard rock. wanna here the most bad ass twin guitar solo evr written? youtu.be/41qfIecwXFg or wanna hear joe lynn turner sing about being a streetracer while dave rosenthal shreds the mosat awesome keyboard solo this side of rick wakeman? youtu.be/Xo0M1OScHUU
