i say go for it with a quickness before someone else buys the place. even if you sit on it a while, you'll get that money back many times over

Alright, I'm gonna be honest here.. I didn't even make it to the bottom of the page, reading replies. I will give you some information here. 10k is a great price, first of all.. To own the building. You're going to have to find out what taxes will be yearly on it. You're going to need to build a drum and vocal booth. You're going to need a separate space for guitars, bass, and anything else. Most studios will use an old bank glass in the wall between the main room with all the recording gear and the room that people record in. I would anticipate spending at least another 6-7 grand just on interior renovations.. Then you have to take into consideration, the exterior. Does the roof need any repair? Is the foundation structurally sound? Etc Etc. Then, in your area.. Do you have to have the tanks pulled from the ground for hazard reasons? I know up where I live, you do. Just some things to consider. If everything on the exterior is sound.. You're in luck. If not, It's not going to be worth the money.. That is the make or break factor, to me.

I was looking at te public plans for the place and seeing what i could do, looking at codes, laws, other such. Yeah the tanks have to be pulled but it isnt much to have them pulled. I have been there a few times. Hell i might turn it into my house for the hell of it. Haha

And you KNOW they won't approve zoning for that the first time.. They're gonna make you appeal.. It's a money maker. And to live there, you're gonna have to get the zoning changed from commercial to residential.

The zoning has already changed. They are essentially selling the property for the land and the assets on the land, meaning the building.
