Go ahead.. Tell me about your recording rig! We all started somewhere. I actually started with a 4-track tape deck.

I use my phone to record... I don't really record much, so I don't really want to put the time into going any farther.

I have a Blue Yeti USB microphone plugged into my laptop. I want to get a better setup in the future. I have no need for anything more complicated than I have right now at the moment. Nor do I have the money.

Well I have been using an Alesis iO2 > Laptop > Amplitube* > Reaper for my demos. Fully intending on using real amps and all for main sound when I go back with a full band if we don't use a studio.
*primarily the Orange full pack. I love love LOVE Orange stuff

I usually MIC up one of my amps. From there, it travels to my Yamaha Mixer (VERY balanced mixer, great from recording).. Then I usually run that from the tape out, right to the audio card on my MAC.. Then mixed in either Garage Band or Logic Pro.
Soon, I hope to have a bedroom studio together. I'll be running a Mackie mixer there.. Direct in to the sound card on a MAC Mini I plan on picking up. I'll more than likely be using the POD XT Pro or an HD500 if I pick one up.
