So the pickup switch on my OLP has suddenly decided it just doesn't want to be in the neck position any more. I can move it to the right spot, but it pulls itself back to the middle position the second I let go. I opened the guitar up, and tightened everything down, but that only helped a tiny bit. Now, I can get it to stay in the neck position, but if I bump the guitar at all, it hops back to the middle.
I mean, it doesn't really matter to me, 'cause I normally play in the middle position anyways. But still, I don't get it. It stays in the neck position just fine, but I cant keep it on the neck.
Anyone know what the problem might be, or how I can fix it?
I'm more curious than anything.

Honestly, it's not even worth worrying about why it's become faulty. Just replace the thing. And if you're REALLY interested in what's causing it to do that, you can dissect it after you've put the new one in and gotten back to playing!
