A small group of teachers at my school have decided that I, along with my friend who plays bass, should represent the senior class at our graduation this year by playing a song. Personally, I'm honored. It means a lot that the teachers actually think that highly of my playing.
The issue comes, now, with what to play. My friend and I absolutely HATE the songs that everyone always plays at their graduation. At our school, we just don't like to follow the norm. It's less fun that way.
I've been thinking something that everyone can sing along to and recognizes. Our class really likes 80's rock, so I was thinking maybe something by Queen, but we have less than 3 weeks to learn a whole new song, and I just don't know if we could get it down in time.
Do you guys have any ideas? I really don't want to have to play Good Riddance...

No no no no ya got it all wrong. The appropriate song is "Hot for Teacher" or dialing it down a bit on the difficulty scale, "School's Out". How about a Beastie Boys tune?
