So last week, my music teacher told me he wanted me to play a small bit at a benefit. I said sure, I always love having a reason to play. When I got there today, I learned it was actually for a woman's birthday. She used to work for a record company, or something, I don't really know honestly.
The show was at a popular iron factory turned bar and restaurant. It was REALLY relaxed. Just a bunch of acoustic stuff, open mic style. I was the first one up, in a front of a bunch of professional musicians and older people, so I was nervous. But I went up, and did my thing. And everyone loved it!
If anyone was wondering, I played a song called "The General" by Dispatch, and "Linoleum" by Streetlight Manifesto (or NOFX originally)
