A lot of people will like overdrive over distortion.. Fuzz over overdrive.. Distortion over fuzz.. What kind of dirt box do you prefer and why? Personally, I like distortion pedals over any. Run lightly you can get an overdrive effect and if you run an eq with it, you can get it to sound somewhat similar to a fuzz pedal. What do you guys like?

I honestly have no idea. I don't own any pedals (yet).
But I am planning on possibly getting one as a Christmas/birthday present.

I like an OD more than a distortion. Mostly cause I use tube saturation as gain and then use the OD to tighten it up. But I still like the way that new custom distortion MXR has sounds.

Turn the level knob all the way up with the gain on 10 oclockish. Tone in the middle. I also bring the level on my eq up just to boost the signal level. It sounds sweet. No distortion for this guy. Naturally overdriving the amp is what Im diggin.
