Yep... the Duolian is really nice. I like Style O single cones too. Little bit of a classier look with the neck binding. That Tricone is a slide guitar monster. It sounds like its got built in reverb and it has a very complex tone to it... like I just keep hearing different nuances to its sound, and it makes me never want to put it down. I use medium picks and a brass slide.
Believe it or not, pick gauge makes as much of a difference in tone on a National as what the slide is made of. Heavy picks can sound kinda dull, and thin picks are very bright, but I dont like the flex of a thin pick. Medium picks and brass slides seems to strike a good balance. Chrome plated steel slides sound good too.
I dont like glass, ceramic or bone slides.
